Commitment

A commitment to responsible tourism

At Marty Hotel, we do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant for you as it is for the planet. Because a hotel can combine comfort and commitment, we have taken concrete steps towards more sustainable tourism.

Alongside Betterfly Tourism, we are actively working to reduce our environmental impact while supporting local stakeholders. This support enables us to adopt responsible practices on a daily basis: reducing our water and energy consumption, increasing our use of eco-labeled products, breakfasting mostly in bulk... and much more!

Our efforts were rewarded in 2024 with a B environmental rating.

Our commitment to the environment and society has also earned us the Clef Verte label, the benchmark for sustainable tourism.

At Marty Hôtel, we believe that every action, no matter how small, contributes to preserving our planet. And we will continue to move in this direction.

A taste for the local

Offering an authentic experience while minimizing our impact on the environment is Marty Hôtel's commitment. To achieve this, we carefully select our partners and give pride of place to local producers, guarantors of regional know-how and impeccable quality.

From your breakfast to your bathroom, everything here is designed to focus on local ingredients. Every morning, breads and pastries are freshly prepared by Maison Lamour (rue Judaïque), while teas come from Chris'Teas. For a refreshing break, let yourself be tempted by Mama Kombucha's artisanal kombuchas.

Looking for a personal touch to enhance your stay? Our bouquets are carefully composed by Le Dahlia, and our welcome products: shower gels, shampoos, body milks and conditioners are made by Soin de Soi, as are our precious perfume oils by Elaio.

Finally, for the care of our linen, we have chosen a committed, local laundry: Les Lavandières d'Aquitaine.

By working with these passionate artisans, we support the local economy and create lasting links. It's a way of helping you discover Bordeaux in a different way, through the people who make it tick.

Neighborhood associations

We are committed to the association Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, which promotes access to education, culture and training, as well as to the Maison des Femmes de Bordeaux, a feminist and militant organization.

We also work in partnership with the Polynesian cultural center Natiora, Bande de Mères, Les Rayonnantes and Promofemmes, contributing to committed, solidarity-based initiatives.

A more responsible hotel, every day

Reconciling well-being and commitment is what our approach is all about.

To limit our environmental impact, we have equipped the entire hotel with LED light bulbs and motion detectors in common areas, reduced our water consumption with flow reducers, and chosen organic and eco-labeled cleaning and reception products. Our team is made aware of eco-actions on a daily basis.

We firmly believe that we all have a role to play in preserving our planet.

For you and for the planet

Our entire team is aware of the challenges of sustainable tourism and trained in eco-actions, which are an integral part of our daily routine. Our receptionists are at your disposal to recommend their best addresses: local shops, restaurants committed to the environment... We also attach great importance to the choice of our suppliers and partners, carefully selected for their commitment to sustainable development.

- We offer a breakfast based on local produce, vegetarian options and homemade recipes.
- To preserve the environment, but above all to offer you good air quality, the products used for cleaning the hotel are mostly eco-labelled.
- Our establishment is completely non-smoking.

Le Marty works with the B Corp-certified Soin de soi brand, guaranteeing minimal impact on aquatic ecosystems when the product is discharged into nature and complying with standards limiting waste.

- Let's sort together: Leave your glass bottles aside, our team will recycle them when we clean your room.
- We love water, so let's save it: Remember to limit the length of your shower and don't leave the water running when soaping up or brushing your teeth... Simple reflexes that make all the difference.
- Not too hot, not too cold: Before setting off to explore Bordeaux, remember to turn off the air-conditioning or heating (or close the windows) to avoid wasting energy.
- Greening Bordeaux: Bus, streetcar, bike... The city is full of options for getting around in a different way. Need a good plan? Ask us, we'll guide you!
